At MARA T-Ball, we strive to create a fun, positive, and engaging environment where young players can fall in love with the game of baseball. Our mission is to teach the fundamentals of the sport while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and the joy of playing.

Whether it’s your child’s first time playing or they’re returning for another season, MARA T-Ball is designed to be a great introduction to team sports and organized activities.

Program Overview

• Ages: T-Ball is open to children aged 4-5, based on the Babe Ruth League age guidelines. Eligible players: Spring is the players age as of May 1, 2025. Eligible players: Fall is the players age as of May 1, 2026.
• Season Length: Our spring season runs from February to May, and the fall season runs from August to November.
• Weekly Commitment: Teams typically have one weeknight practice and one Saturday game or practice.

How to Register

• Registration Periods: Registration opens on January 1 for the spring season and July 1 for the fall season.
• Steps to Register:
  1. Visit MARA Registration.
  2. Complete the online registration form and payment.
  3. Specify any teammate requests and jersey size during registration.
• Fees: The season fee includes a team jersey and hat. Additional equipment, such as a glove, bat, and helmet, must be provided by families.

Equipment Needed

• Required Gear: Baseball glove, bat, helmet, baseball/softball pants, and gym shoes or rubber cleats.
• Provided by MARA: Team jersey, hat, T-balls, tees, and bases.

What to Expect

• Practices: Coaches lead structured drills focusing on fielding, throwing, hitting, and running. Practices include warm-ups, drills, and a fun mini-game to end the session.
• Games: Games last one hour or three innings, whichever comes first. Every child bats each inning, ensuring maximum participation and fun.
• Coaching Philosophy: Our coaches focus on positive reinforcement, patience, and creating a welcoming experience for every child.

Volunteer Opportunities

MARA T-Ball thrives because of our amazing parent volunteers. Whether as a head coach, assistant coach, or team helper, there are plenty of ways to get involved. No experience is necessary—we’ll provide guidance and support!

Fields 5 and 6 are dedicated to T-Ball activities. Concessions and restrooms are available onsite.

FAQs

• How are teams formed? Teams are created based on player familiarity, school/daycare, and teammate requests during registration.
• What if we miss the registration deadline? Unfortunately, late registrations cannot be accepted. Jerseys and rosters are finalized immediately after the registration period ends.
• What should my child bring to practices and games? Ensure your child has their glove, bat, helmet, and proper shoes. Water bottles and sunscreen are also recommended.
• How do I find out about cancellations? Field closures due to weather will be communicated via GroupMe. Coaches will inform teams directly.
